Brooksburg was platted on Sept. 18, 1839 and incorporated as a town on Aug. 24, 1878. It is located on Indiana State Road 56. The Ohio River Scenic Byway passes through the town.
Brooksburg is approximately eight miles east of Madison, Indiana.
