Elm House has 3 Bedrooms, each has a queen bed. 2 Full baths, one off the master suite upstairs and one downstairs. The master suite has a balcony overlooking backyard and wildlife ponds.
There are two large decks, one off living room with cabana, table and chairs and one in back with gas grill.
The hot tub seats six, built in stereo and accessory umbrella. House is fully furnished.

Elm House is part of a 103 acre nationaly recognized sustainable tree farm (2007 Indiana Tree Farm of the Year and 2009 North Central Regional Outstanding Tree Farm of the Year). The property consists of naturally regenerated hardwoods, five wildlife ponds, three birding stands and various wildlife plots. The terrain is rugged with well maintained trails and marked property boundaries. Come and enjoy nature at her best or simply take advantage of reasonably priced accomodations while exploring all Monroe County has to offer.

Elm House Amentities: Hot tub with built in stereo (tuner,CD, MP3 jack). 52″ HD TV. Laser disk with 100 titles. Two futons for additional guests. Central A/C with heat pump. Fully furnished kitchen with electric stove, microwave, full size refridgerator/freezer.

Elm House is situated on a 103 acre nationally recognized tree farm consisting of naturally regenerated mixed hardwoods. Five wildlife/amphibian ponds, three bird watching stands and natural vistas. Much of the property is rugged but has maintained trails and access road.

Bloomington and Indiana University are twenty minutes away. Nashville is 30 minutes. Lake Lemon is one mile east and Lake Monroe is twenty miles south. Morgan/Monroe State Forest is five mile north. Yellowwood State Forest is ten mile east. Hoosier National Forest is twenty miles south. Butler Winery is 2 miles west. Oliver Winery is 10 miles west.
Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis Airport, Downtown Indianapolis, are 45 minutes north.

Guided tours of the tree farm and a small sawmill operation are available.

Tanner’s Creek

Tanners Creek

Tanner’s Creek consists of two forks, an east fork which begins east of Lawrenceville, Indiana which begins about .25 miles from the intersection of Taylorsville and Old Hickory Roads. It flows approximately 20 miles through Dearborn County on its way to the Ohio River. The West Fork begins near North Dearborn Road between Shantz and Lawrenceville Roads. The West Fork is bounded first by Happy Hollow Road, Bonnell Road and finally intersects the East Fork just east of Guilford, Indiana. It is bounded by Cook Road and Indiana State Road 1 during much of its course.

Tanners Creek drains nearly 68,000 acres consisting of almost all crop or forest land. Navigable from its junction with the Ohio River in Lawrenceburg for 10.6 river miles.

South Hogan Creek begins in Ripley County near County Road 500 E about .3 miles south of Indiana State Road 350 near the town of Milan. It flows southeast approximatel 7.5 miles to the Ripley/Dearborn County line just south of Moores Hill. From the county line South Hogan Creek flows approximately 14 miles to its confluence with Hogan Creek.. South Hogan Creek is flanked by South Hogan Road, Chesterville Road and Lower Dillsboro Road.

The Main Stem of Hogan Creek is navigable in Dearborn County from the junction on the Ohio River for its entire length of 0.4 river miles. The North Fork is navigable from the junction with Hogan Creek for 4.9 river miles. The South Fork is navigable from the junction with Hogan Creek for 5.0 river miles.

North Hogan Creek

North Hogan Creek

Length – Approximately 18.4 miles
In Dearborn County – Approximately 16 Miles

North Hogan Creek begins in northeastern Ripley County near County Road 800 E about .5 miles south of its intersection with Indiana State Road 101.It flows through south central Dearborn County on a northwest to southeast incline. It drains approximately 19,000 acres in Ripley County and 63,000 acres in Dearborn County. About 47% of the watershed is agricultural land, 45% woodland and the remainder city land or water.

North Hogan Road, accessed from Indiana State Road 48 about 1 mile from the Ripley County/Dearborn County line, follows most of Hogan Creeks course.

It intersects South Hogan Creek in Aurora, crosses US Route 50 and enters the Ohio River. These boating facilities are located near the mouth of Hogan Creek:
